Bustling BROADWAY

Welcome to the Theater District in the late 1920’s when this neighborhood was known as the heart of shopping in Downtown Tacoma as businesses, hotels, and shining neon signs lined the busy streets.

Shoes could be purchased from Feltman & Curme’s for just $5.50, and a ticket cost only 25¢ to see a production at The Blue Mouse Theatre. Many people were beginning to purchase cars for the first time, and also began utilizing public transportation as a way to conveniently get around Downtown Tacoma.
