Built in 1925, the Washington Building was the tallest building in Tacoma and the 2nd tallest in the Pacific Northwest.
The building also provided inspiration for the Noir Fiction, The Maltese Falcon starring Humphry Bogart and Mary Astor, who the building is named after today.
